Thanks Kindly 'Perfect Pairings' in Wildflower Fields

Well ... today is the day! Sale-a-bration is ending today. So sad, I know. It's my favourite promotion of the year, because who doesn't love earning FREE stuff?! I do. I have a couple of cards to share today featuring some FREEBIES that I earned, simply by purchasing products that I love.

I designed a couple of cards that I sent to anyone who placed an order with me. Who doesn't love getting a nice handmade card? It sure beats bills, and real estate flyers. I used the fabulous designer series paper from the SAB promotion called {Wildflower Fields}. I LOVE this paper, the colours, the designs, all of it. Some are soft and subtle and some are vibrant and bold. And they compliment each other. Great job Stampin' Up! I added one of my favourite sentiment stamp sets, also from SAB called {Perfect Pairings}. This set has this fun vintage style font and some text fonts to pair with it. I guess the name is appropriate since they are perfectly paired! I did a bit of embossing with the {Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder}, added some ribbon through my extra-large oval punched sentiment to adhere to my card. A bitty butterfly, some rhinestones for a tiny bit of sparkle and there you have it.

Here is another card that I designed and sent out. Since the designer paper had this soft dandelion wish in the paper pack, I just had to pair it with the stamp set {Balloon Celebration}. I love that you can create your own wish.

I tried to keep these card simple with just black and white... but, I wanted a tiny punch of colour. So, I added a layer of a bright or bold colour to do just that. I used Cucumber Crush, Elegant Eggplant and Bermuda Bay. I hope you like my cards, see you later :)

Pedal Pusher - Thank You Kindly

This card features a few sale-a-bration products. The starring role went to {Pedal Pusher}, with supporting roles to {Perfect Pairings & Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper}. The gray colour and pattern from the designer series paper reminded me of asphalt, so that's what I used it for. The opposite side of the paper has some fun marbling patterns.

I stamped the bicycle, and coloured it with my favourite colour - orange! If I had a bicycle built for two this is exactly how it would look. The vintage feel to the Perfect Pairings goes perfect with the bicycle image. A bit of twine wrapped around the card and a rhinestone on the flag and it's done.

I made another pedal pusher card. This time a bit more colour was involved. I used a piece of {Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper}, which is also a sale-a-bration item. I love the bright, and bold colours from 'hello honey to blackberry bliss'.

This time, I opted for a Blackberry Bliss & Calypso Coral bicycle. The bike is going uphill on a field of wildflowers. I hope you like these cards, enjoy the rest of your day.

Going Places with Sky is the Limit

Tomorrow is the last day to earn your FREE sale-a-bration products. I can't believe it's almost over so soon. I still have some stamps un-inked. But, one that is nicely inked up... is {Sky is the Limit}. The card I made today is featuring it and all it's greatness.

I paired this great stamp set with some great paper from the {Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack}. I love the patterns in this stack, and they are perfect for masculine themed projects. There are so many neutral colours and interesting designs that they would be a great fit for many other projects.

I went with a panel look for the front with two contrasting patterns. One a simple crumb cake and very vanilla horizontal stripe and a basic black with a compass pattern. A vellum circle, a banner and some frayed burlap ribbon to add a bit more interest, then a fussy cut out plane complete with a vellum propeller. I hope you like it. I'll have some more Sale-a-bration shares later.

Balloon Celebration & Pedal Pusher

Hello, only two more days of Sale-a-bration... sniff, sniff! I was playing with the {Balloon Celebration} stamp set and coordinating {Balloon Punch}. I used the fun, newer sale-a-bration addition {Pedal Pusher}. You're probably wondering where the bicycle is? I actually used the bicycle basket for the hot air balloon basket. Neat right?!

The clouds are stamped with soft sky classic ink, some straight stamped and some stamped off. Then I used the {Tree Builder Punch} to make some vellum clouds, I added a bit of {Clear Wink of Stella} to give a bit of shine. So pretty.

I used the balloon string to make the balloon straps with some watermelon wonder punched out balloons.

I am pleased with how this card turned out. I'm excited to play some more with this ultra fun stamp set. So many possibilities... I hope you like it :)

Easter Lamb & Wishes

Sorry for the late post, but I've got a few Easter inspired cards to share with you. First, I used the {Easter Lamb} single stamp. So super cute, isn't it? Oh, Hello!!

I used a piece of {Shine on Specialty Designer Series Paper} for the background. I went to my favourite, the silvery clouds. A bit of burlap ribbon and a little bow for the little lamb and done.

Here's another card using the {Shine on SDSP}. This time, the flip side - which is Cucumber Crush. Some simple watercolouring and this card came together really quick.

The Easter greeting is from the awesome {Suite Sayings}. A must have stamp set with several different occasion sentiments.

For my last card, I did a bit more water colouring. A quick plum wash, some colouring to the little lamb and some Perfect Plum flowers using the {Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack} and done.

I hope you like my card shares today, have a great one!

What I love meets Botanical Gardens

Hello... it's snowing outside!!!!!!!! Here I thought spring was on the way?! My poor flowers were just peeking out from the earth and now this, I bet they stay in hibernation for a while now. I think I will too!! ;) Weather aside, I can't believe we have only one week left of Sale-a-bration, so sad. I pulled out one of my favourites called {What I love} to make today's card.

This stamp set can be used as a two-step set or a three-step set. Depending on how intense of a colour you want for your flowers you would opt to use the outline, or the outline with one of the fillers, or the outline with both of the fillers. However you choose to make your flowers, all three look beautiful so you really can't go wrong.

I used the two-step stamping for this card. I used Watermelon Wonder for the outline image, then Calypso Coral for the inside filler image. I did stamp off once before the second stamp was used just to make it a bit softer. I did the same thing with the greenery, I stamped once with Mossy Meadow and moved it over slightly without re-inking and stamped again. It gives a nice variation of tones and you can do so with only one colour! I added a piece of {Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum} to the bottom of my card since it's so pretty. I hope you like my card, enjoy the rest of your day!!

Oh, Hello Honeycomb Happiness!

Only two weeks to earn your FREE Sale-a-bration products. Today, I'm sharing a super cute card made with {Honeycomb Happiness} and {What I love} stamp sets. That little chickadee is just so adorable and perfect for Easter cards, I just couldn't resist. Easter is only a couple of weeks ago, it's super early this year!!

I don't know about you? But, I love water colouring... well, with stamps that is. The great thing about water colouring with stamps is that you don't have to draw the images - you just the colouring. I added a strip of {Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper} to the bottom of my card for a pop of colour to the bottom of my card front. And it's another FREEBIE to earn until March 31, 2016 - it's awesome too!

For my colouring I started with Archival Black ink to stamp the floral stems and the chickadee. Then I stamped another chickadee and fussy cut him/her out. The entire background is Soft Sky, the chickadee is Delightful Dijon & Tangelo Twist with some Mossy Meadow for the grass & floral stem leaves. I used an aquapainter, but a paint brush with water will do just fine! That little guy/gal is just so sweet! I hope you like it, have a good one.

Something for Baby...A Shower Card

I've got another baby inspired card, this time I left the sentiment off the front intentionally since I plan on using it for a baby shower and didn't have a stamp dedicated to showers. But, it could work for other baby themed occasions.

I used three different stamp sets to create my card. First the carriage is stamped with {Something for Baby}, die cut with the {Baby's First Framelits Dies}. Next, the adorable little kitty cat is from {Made with Love}. The little flowers are stamped with {Grateful Bunch Bundle}, which the punch comes in handy to make cutting these flowers super quick and easy!

I used paper from the {It's my Party Designer Series Paper Stack}. This paper stack is 48 sheets of 12" X 12" awesomeness! Usually the paper stacks have been either 4-1/2" X 6-1/2" or 6" X 6". I die cut a circle and added a panel of the pretty vellum from Sale-a-bration called {Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum}.

I added a cute sentiment is from {Happy Happenings}, and a strip of the same striped yellow designer series paper from the outside to tie everything together.

I can't believe how many baby cards I've made - I shared a bunch over the last couple of weeks. I hope that you've enjoyed checking out my cards! If you have any questions, please let me know.

Going Places Goes Global

I love the selection of colours that are in the {Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack}. Browns, greens, yellows, blues, vanilla and white and the patterns are amazing! I set out to make some masculine cards that would work for a variety of occasions.

I used the {World Traveler Textured Impressions Embossing Folder} with the {Going Global} stamp set and the {Going Places Designer Series Paper}, love, love, love!!!

There is a sentiment in the set that has a heart to perfectly punch out with the {Sweetheart Punch}, I did use it to make a couple of these - but the one I'm sharing here the sentiment You mean the world to me also fits perfectly in the heart punch. I hope you like it, have a great day!

Something for Baby that is Made with Love!

Hello, I've got another baby themed card to share today... I told you I made a bunch of them! This one was the first one I made, a Congrats... I don't know why I don't make more baby cards because they were quite fun to put together!? Well, I guess mainly because I have no one to give them to. But, it's good to be prepared by having some ready to go just in case. You can view the other cards I made by clicking on the links here: Made with Love is Purrrfect for Baby & Happy Happenings... Bonjour Beautiful Baby. Details for today's card below.

Using the {Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder} to add some interest to my Very Vanilla card layer. I used another non-traditional colour... Delightful Dijon. I myself am a sucker for yellows and oranges, and I know that baby cards typically use pale yellow tones more like So Saffron.. but I'm not traditional. I love Delightful Dijon, it's one of my favourites. I used a piece of {Going Places Designer Series Paper} for the adorable little die cut onesie... and I love the little stars!

I could have just left it plain and simple with just the onesie stamped with {Made with Love} and the Congrats sentiment... but that's not my style. I love to over complicate everything! It's a sickness, really! Well, sometimes it's a good thing! I cut a slit in the safety pin image from {Something for Baby} and slid the sentiment through it... oh, and the little rubber ducky is from that set too! I'm pleased with how it turned out. I hope you like it.

Water COLOUR me Happy!

Hello again! There is something very soothing about water colouring. I could sit and colour for hours and not be bored a second. I have a bunch of pretty water coloured cards to share. First is one of my favourite stamp, a single stamp called {Blended Bloom}. Now this image is wonderful for alcohol markers, it works perfectly for water colouring too and you get a similar effect. I used Tangerine Tango & Tangelo Twist Classic Inks.

I used the same stamp for this pretty note card set coloured with four different colours. I really had fun with these, I think the Pool Party one is my favourite.

Pool Party & Bermuda Bay inks

Watermelon Wonder & Calypso Coral inks

Rich Razzleberry & Blackberry Bliss inks

Real Red ink

Next up is {A Beautiful Ride}, another set that I adore. I stamped the sweethearts cuddling first onto the front layer of water colour paper. On another piece I stamped the punch buggy image and fussy cut it out so I could add {Dimensionals} under to add a bit of depth. I blended Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red inks to make the multi-coloured sky.

I have one more card, using another stamp set that I have used a ton - {Swallowtail}. There is something about a butterfly that seems so tranquil. This large background stamp is great for colouring and you can add as many colours as you want. I went a little crazy (I don't think a butterfly like this exists) but in my imagination it does. I hope you like these water coloured cards and feel inspired to try it out for yourself. Have a great day!

Happy Happenings... Bonjour Beautiful Baby

Hello...Bonjour, one of the few French words I understand! I shared a cute baby card last week with some oh-so-adorable kitties on it called, Made with Love is Purrrfect for Baby. I mentioned that I made a few baby themed cards... well, here's another one. This time it's for a baby girl. Now, I'm not one to use "pink"... but... I've been trying VERY hard to incorporate it more into my projects. Not everything can be orange, green, turquoise and yellow (well, maybe)... but not today.

It's funny how we gravitate towards certain colours. I pretty much stick to neutrals and brights for my colours, but for this card it was all about the Subtles. Sadly, one of my least used colour families. Well, except Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Soft Sky... those colours get used quite often. But, all the colours are lovely, so for this card I used Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron and Blushing Bride with a Very Vanilla card base. These colours scream "BABY" to me. I did add a bit of Mint Macaron for the lace trim, another soft colour from the 2016-2018 In Colour Collection. The cute little onesie was stamped with {Made with Love} and die cut with {Baby's First Framelits Dies}. I used a sheet from the {Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack}, one with cute little hearts on it. then, I added a few {It's My Party Enamel Dots} to decorate my card a bit, well cause' I'm a bit obsessed with them! I guess a lot of others are too since they are on back order. One neutral themed card done, one girly themed card done, a boy themed card next perhaps?! I hope you like it, au revoir (until we see each other again).

Merci pour arrêter par, estamillage heureux!
