Hooray ... 2014 is almost here!

HOORAY!! It's New Year's Eve and it's the last day of 2013. I have several resolutions that I will be trying my best to keep up during 2014. Every year I make a resolution, and find it very difficult to keep up for the long term. Some I have until this day, but others sadly only lasted a few days... here's hoping I can stick to it!!

Any hoo... my card for today is featuring my favourite NEW stamp set in the upcoming 'spring' catalogue (available January 3)... it's called Geometrical. I love the greetings and the shapes, plus you can bundle it with a triangle punch, and I LOVE punches, so naturally that's what I did!

Here's a fun card I made with the some new products... First I used the solid circle stamp in Tangerine Tango ink - randomly stamping on and off to have a darker and lighter appearance. I stamped the 'Hooray for Today' greeting over top the stamped circles. I punched it out with the 2 1/2" circle punch and then cut a mat using the 'Starburst' framelits. I Embossed my card using the 'Arrows' textured impressions embossing folder - LOVE IT! and brayered over with Tangerine Tango to make the debossing pop! I added some Gold Baker's Twine and some Gold Sequin Trim for some glitz and glam for New Year's eve.. I hope you like it, have a safe and happy New Year :)

Happy Stamping, and see you next year!

Fabulous is what you are!

For my shares today I wanted to start with a framed art piece I created using the gorgeous 'Winter Frost' designer series paper. I stamped my sentiment Fabulous is what you are and cut out with the 'Ovals Collection' framelits and matted onto the 'Labels Collection' framelits. I added some Rhinestones and punched out glimmer paper stars for even more shine! I made a coordinating dress for my dress form from the 'Dress up' framelits. This would make a nice gift for someone you know that is FABULOUS!

My next share is ... Paper Earrings?!

I absolutely love the gold and silver foil sheets - they look so much like a thin metal like they use for jewelry findings. So I thought why not make some earrings!! Now these earrings are not meant to last forever, they are made of paper so you can't get them wet - but they are very pretty. For the first pair I punched 4 Silver Foil 3/4" Circles, 4 Gold Foil 1" Circles and 4 Silver Foil 1 1/4" Circles to make 1 pair. I attached the circles together, then punched the holes for my jump rings. I think these earrings are stunning and  Unless you knew they were made of paper, you wouldn't be able to tell.

This next pair of earrings I punched 2 Gold Foil 3/4" Circles, 2 Silver Foil 1" Circles, 2 Gold Foil 1 1/4" Circles and 4 Silver Foil 1 3/8" Circles. The largest circles were attached together so the back is consistent with the front. I layered all of the circles so that they were closer to the of the circle. I then took my paper piercer and mat and pierced a hole - then I knew where to line up my punch for perfect alignment.

Frosted Finishes Embellishments really do make beautiful jewelry. The first time I saw these gorgeous embellishments I knew they'd make stunning jewelry. I made a bunch of necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets with them. Photos never seem to do them justice, once you see them in person the sparkle and shine from the rhinestones is very beautiful.

I hope you like my shares, happy stamping :)

Stylish Pennant Punched Tree

Hello... we only have 3 days left before Christmas, I hope you've got all your holiday shopping done!? I finished mine a few days ago, but went antique shopping today in search for some printers blocks for my sister. I didn't need to buy anything else, but I found a great booth with over 100 different printer blocks. Not sure what a printer block is? Well, before computers and printers - you would line up your blocks to form the word(s) you wanted and added the ink and ran through and printed your posters, etc. Since the computer, they've become obsolete and my sister has been collecting them for a few years now. They are pretty hard to come by since most companies that used them have discarded them since they are not used any longer. I picked up a bunch that she doesn't have, I'm sure she'll be excited! I think they're pretty cool and I don't collect them!!

Anywhooooo... my card inspiration for today is one that I made months ago believe it or not?! Not sure why I took so long to share it, well here it is...

Of course this card features some punches, my favourite products!! I used the 'Petite Pennants Builder' punch. I punched out 9 pennants in two patterns (I used the Season of Style paper stack - double-sided for twice the patterns to choose from!) I used the 1" Square punch to make the tree trunk (I cut it in half). The sentiment is from the 'Sweet Essentials' set inked with the Gold Metallic Encore pad, and to add some more gold glitz... I added a strip of the Gold Foil sheet and a gold star for the top of the tree. This card is really not as complicated as it may seem, once you cut/punch all your pieces it really doesn't take any time at all to assemble a bunch!

A card for Fox!

A friend of mine had a baby boy a couple of weeks ago... and I got to meet him last night, tiny, adorable little Fox! I couldn't believe how small he was, 5ish lbs. Here is the card I made for him using a new stamp set that is from the spring catalogue, available Jan. 3 -  it's called 'Life in the Forest'. What better to add to a card for a baby named Fox, but a fox - Although, I think the real Fox is much cuter! I embossed the background layer of 'soft sky' new, upcoming (January 28( Sale-a-bration embossing folder 'Decorative Dots'. I hope you like it :)

Deck the Halls with an Ornament Card!

Hello ~ I decided to pull out some of my framelits today and just play for a bit... I used the circles to create this card (I have another one to share tomorrow, also using the circles framelits!). I used the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stacks - just love these papers! I die cut the 4th largest, and the 3rd largest to make my 'frame' for my ornament - I used the magnetic platform to make the frame symmetrical. I then stamped the 'Deck the Halls' from Christmas messages in Baked Brown Sugar ink and punched it out with the 2 1/2" circle punch and layered it to the card base, which then I added the frame, popped up on dimensionals to make it stand out. The ornament topper is the Petite Curly Label punch and I finished it off with some 1/8" Silver ribbon!!!

Hello... I've been getting some last minute holiday gifts done up! These cute Smarties Sliders would make great gifts for co-workers, toppers for gifts or stocking stuffers! Curly Cute Wreath

Hello, I made this adorable holiday wreath over the weekend. It does take quite a while to curl all those pieces of paper, but the assembly is actually quite quick! All you need is 6 sheets of 12X12 Designer series paper, cut into half inch strips. I added a bow made with the gift bow die.... and ta-da! It's done! I love the final product, I hope you like it too.

Happy Stamping :)

A Festival of Flurries!

Hi there ~ I have some last minute gift tags or ornaments to share. These tags would make the perfect addition to any gift - and could work for both male or female gifts too! I stamped and diecut each of the four stamps in the 'Festive Flurry' stamp set and mounted them with dimensionals. I included a tag with 'to: and from: on the back... I used two of my favourite colours... Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana - with some sparkle from the silver glimmer paper for good measure!

I managed to get a few good photos... it was super windy the day I was taking them!

It's nice to not have real 'flurries'!! These ones are so pretty and you don't need to shovel!!

I hope you like my share and have a great day, Happy stamping :)

Elf on a tree?!

I've seen an elf on a shelf... but not a tree before! My share for today is a cute ornament/gift tag. I made this cute little elf using some new and retired products. I suppose you could cut the mittens out freehand?

Current Products: Pennants builder punch (hat), Cupcake Builder Punch (hair), Bird builder punch (ears), Decorative label punch (shirt), Label bracket punch (collar & tag), Boho Blossoms punch (shoe decoration), Itty bitty shapes punch pack (pompom on hat and buttons).

Retired Products: Ornament punch (head), Mitten punch (mittens), Butterfly (shoes). The Extra Large oval punch would work for the head too!!

I hope you like it, happy crafting!

Deck the Halls with Lots of Lights...

My share for today is this super cute holiday card, it's so bright & cheery for this bright & sunny day! I just love it when winter days are not snowy and cold! I know it will come eventually, but I hope not too soon... What does a word window punch, the 'Ornament Keepsakes' framelits and some baker's twine equal?      ... a cute card with a string of brightly coloured Christmas lights of course!
