Carried Away with Sale-a-bration

Hello stampers!

This years' Sale-a-bration brochure has a bunch of coordinating products with the Occasions Catalogue. Today's card is using one of them. I used {Lift Me Up} from the Occasions catty and the {Carried Away Designer Series Paper} from Sale-a-bration. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE... this paper. Such fun colour combinations and designs. I went for a tiled inch x inch look.

I used various pages from the paper, mainly the ones that featured the hot air balloons. I went with Night of Navy for my card base since it is one of the colours featured in the papers. This card could work for either men, women or children.

The sentiment is from the {Lift Me Up} set, stamped and embossed onto vellum cardstock with White Stampin' Emboss powder. I hated to cover up the lovely papers so with vellum you can still see them peeking through from behind. A final detail was to stamp and cut out a hot air balloon with a gold metallic thread tail! I hope you like it, have a great one!

Beetles & Bugs: Cute as a Bug!!

Hello stampers!

I used on of my favourite sets from the Occasions catalogue... "Beetles & Bugs". I hope I'm not the only one who is a fan of this set. The moment I saw it I knew I HAD to have it! I have been having so much fun playing around with these cute creepy crawlies.

I had envisioned them in water going down the drain, it's awful... I know. However, these guys are not. I love how it turned out, do you?

The look of the white ink onto the crumb cake cardstock really pops off the page. I made my own greeting with the {Labeler Alphabet} stamp set, a set that is handy to have around to customize you sentiments to suit your needs! I stamped the letters onto vellum as to not cover up the cute crawlies.

I hope you like this card, if you keep scrolling down you'll see a second card I created at the same time as this one  ...

For this card, it's very similar to the previous one. I just randomly stamped them around the crumb cake layer rather than the swirl design. I like how both turned out, so fun!

Another fun sentiment made with the Labeler Alphabet stamps, "Sorry I bugged you!", how cute is that?! Have a great one = D

Bloomin' Love for Valentine's Day

Hello stampers!

Seeing as today is supposed to be all about love, why not share some cards all about love. I pulled out the {Bloomin' Love} stamp set from page 46 of the Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. I ventured into a zone that I am not too familiar with... using pink!

I really went for it... so very pink, Melon Mambo to be exact. I stamped the large heart image with versamark and embossed with clear powder. Then came watercolouring in an ombre gradation.

A touch black to add a bold contrast and it's done. I actually enjoyed making this card, pink and all!

I kept playing around with the stamp set, this time made with Tempting Turquoise. I hope you like my cards, have a beautiful day!
