Paisleys & Poseys is Perfect!

Hello stampers!

I don't know about you, but often with a new catalogue it's hard to miss something? I was flipping through the Holiday 2016 catalogue when a set that I, for some reason missed. I'm so glad I spotted it because it is a fabulous set, and there are so many possibilities. It's called {Paisleys & Poseys}. Paisley seems to be quite trendy right now and with this set you can make it any colour you want.

I chose to use Old Olive, Delightful Dijon, Tip Top Taupe and Sweet Sugarplum. I think the colours look beautiful together and it was quite difficult to stick to one set of colours. I ended up making about 20 cards since I love the experimentation so much. If you scroll down you'll see what I mean.

I used a mask to block out the colour/stamping from the sentiment. I have a bunch of cards all stamped, glued and ready to go!! The sentiment is from {Butterfly Basics}, embossed with Copper embossing powder - so lovely. I added a bitty butterfly to the top to add a touch more copper. Oh, and some clear wink of Stella for some glitter. I hope you like it, cheers!

Grateful for "Acorny Thank You"

Hello stampers!

It is so windy, dark and stormy outside. I guess it's a good day for some stamp therapy! I made this card yesterday, while I was "cleaning" my stamp room. Yes, I "played". They looked so inviting, I kept hearing "play with me" and since I just happened to have the Acorn punch on my desk - I started there.

I have made several cards with this punch and {Acorny Thank You} stamp set. I went for an ALL watercolour look... and I love how it turned out, it's so vintage and rustic looking, I used Early Espresso and Soft Suede with Old Olive. I did lots, and lots of layers until I was happy with the look.

I mixed some Soft Sky and Gold Wink of Stella to distress the background. I also added some splatters of ink and gold embossing powder. For my finishing touches, I added a gold embossed greeting to the center acorn and some gold twine that I unraveled and stretched across the width of the card. I hope you like my card, let's hope the day brightens up a bit!

9 Jolly Friends!

Hello stampers!

I have another super cute card made with the {Jolly Friends} stamp set. This time I gave Santa a break and put the elves to work. I stamped 9 of the little cuties onto a piece of watercolour paper with Archival black ink before colouring them in with a variety of colours.

Aren't these little guys so adorable with their little curl in their hair and rosy cheeks?! Yep, I think so!

I added a piece of {Warmth & Cheer} designer series paper, a lovely red knit to be exact. A bit of gold glimmer paper to make the "merry" die cut using the {Christmas Greetings Thinlits}. Lastly, a cute hat complete with a red bell to finish it off. I hope you like my card, have a wonderful day.
