Tin of Tags down Candy Cane Lane

Hello stampers!

Well, it finally happened... the "white stuff" has landed - everywhere! I guess that means hibernation begins?! More time to craft... that's going to be tough to handle... lol! I have a fun holiday card that features a bunch of the white stuff (artificial, of course!).

I am one who tends to hoard designer series paper, something that I've been working on. I tore open a package of the {Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper} and went to work. A piece of the DSP resembles snow falling, and the fun peppermint candies are a great addition... and even better they can be punched out with a 1/2" Circle punch. The adorable house was fussy cut out and sitting atop a torn piece of white cardstock covered with {Clear Wink of Stella}.

I used the {Layering Circles Framelits Dies} to make the "window" in the center of the card and the layering piece of whisper white embossed with the {Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder}. Finally, a couple of pine sprigs and some Rhinestones to finish it off. I hope you like my card, have a great one!

Flurry of Sparkly Wishes

Hello stampers!

Sorry for being absent for the past several days, I am getting over a cold that doesn't seem to want to leave. I have a holiday card to share today featuring {Flurry of Wishes}. This set was the first Christmas themed stamp set that I ordered from the Holiday catalogue in 2015. It was luckily carried over into the Annual catalogue in 2016. I never seem to get tired of inking it up!

I used the Rock n' Roll technique to ink up the snowflakes. I used Soft Sky and Smoky Slate Classic inks, first stamping the lighter colour, Soft Sky, then rolled the outer edges of the stamp in the Smoky Slate and stamped. It adds a nice two-toned look to your images.

To add a bit of sparkly, I used some {Silver Glimmer Paper} punched out some small flowers using the {Blossom Bunch Punch} since I thought they looked similar to a snowflake. As a finishing touch I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to each glimmer snowflake. I hope you like my card, have a lovely day. I have some tags to share tomorrow. See you then!

Merry Mice go Marching in... Year End Closeouts & Holiday Carryover List

Hello stampers!

Today Stampin' Up! just released their YEAR END CLOSEOUTS. It is a list of the products that will be discontinued at the end of the Holiday Catalogue on January 3, 2017. Stamp sets are guaranteed until December 21, then while supplies last and everything else is while supplies last. If there is something you wanted, don't hesitate or it may be gone - accessories tend to sell quickly.

**There are some items from the Annual Catalogue that are discounted. They are not retiring, and will only be discounted until January 3, 2017.

There are a lot of great products that are sticking around, you can view the CARRYOVER LIST.

So now for some stamping inspiration! The card I have to share today is featuring one of the stamp sets that is sadly retiring called {Merry Mice}. It is super adorable. I stamped the mice with Archival Black ink and watercoloured the little cutties with an aquapainter and re-inkers.... a "wink" of Stella to add some glitz and they are ready to celebrate the Holidays with whoever you'd like to send it to.

Acorny Thank You: Mint Dijon & Cajun Razzleberry

Hello stampers!

It is a perfectly lovely fall day today, I just had to I have a lovely fall card with you. I actually designed this card a while ago, but today is a very fitting time to share it. I used the {Acorny thank you} stamp set, paired with the {Petals & Posies Designer Series Paper} from the Paisley's suite of products. I am absolutely smitten with this line from the patterns to the colours, I love it all!

I know that real acorns are not purple or mint green, but in card making you can make things differently whenever you want. So my acorns are Minty Dijon & Cajun Razzleberry... don't they sound like a yummy dessert? I don't think acorns would really taste as delicious as they sound - but squirrels sure love them. I got my colour inspiration from the designer series paper and added in some Rich Razzleberry. I must say that Mint Macaron and Delightful Dijon have become two of my most used and loved colours and I am sad that they are to retire at the end of the Annual catalogue in June.

I hope you like my card and that you enjoy this beautiful fall day!
