Two Toned Affectionately Yours

Hello, it's another gorgeous, sunny day today. Not as hot as the last few days thankfully. I have a couple of cards using one of my favourite new sets {Affectionately Yours}. I am really loving the new In-colours and have been trying to incorporate them into my projects as much as possible. For these cards I used three of them and no other colours. First, I paired the new Peekaboo Peach with Sweet Sugarplum. They look great together. They are both soft, subtle colours and compliment each other nicely.

I love to stamp my backgrounds to create my own designer backgrounds. I didn't want to take too much away from the pretty flowers, so I just added some layers of the matching card stock, some punched out bitty butterflies and an embossed sentiment on vellum.

For my next card I decided to stick with the Peekaboo Peach colour since, well it's orange and I love orange. This time paired with Flirty Flamingo. They also compliment each other nicely since it's not too bold of a pink tone, more on the softer side as well.

I kept the backgrounds very similar with the flowers stamped in the background. Except I switched up the colours a bit for the layers. The bottom layer has a flirty flamingo flower center and a peekaboo peach outer shape and the opposite for the top layer. It gives a nice effect. I just added a banner across the center and stamped a sentiment. I hope you like my cards and enjoy your day!

The Wilderness Awaits in Water Colours

Hello... so I've got another water coloured card to share today. I hope you're not sick of them yet because I've got more to come. This time I used {The Wilderness Awaits} which was carried forward from last years Annual Catalogue. It's another of my favourites, so I was happy to see it return.

I decided to have a bit more of a messy look, which is probably how my traditional water colouring would look. I think this style goes well with this set, it makes it a bit more rustic looking. I just love that little fox, so cute!

I decided to use all the images from the set and sort of layer them on top of one another slightly. I laid them out before adhering to make sure they would fit on a standard card base, luckily they did. I hope you like my card, have a good one!

From Land to Sea: Hoping your day goes Swimmingly!

Hello, when I saw the retirement list I was very happy to see that one of my favourite stamp sets - {From Land to Sea} was being carried over into the new Annual catalogue. I tend to gravitate towards sets like this one with animal images and such. It is great for water colouring too. Which is exactly what I did here. The sentiment I chose is from the new set {Seaside Shore}, another favourite of mine!

I am pretty obsessed lately with water colouring, not that I didn't do it before. It is so therapeutic to just add water and ink and then the magic happens. I decided to make my sea turtles with some bits of vibrant colours like Cucumber Crush, Emerald Envy, Real Red, Crushed Curry and Tip Top Taupe. My water is made using Bermuda Bay, Night of Navy, Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise inks. This card would work well for different occasions and male or female recipients. Always a great type of card to have in your stash! I hope you like it, enjoy the sunshine!
