Embellished Ornaments Glittered and Gold!

I have another holiday card featuring some new products from the upcoming 2015 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue. Products from this catalogue will be available for ordering on September 1, one week from today. One of my top picks from the new catalogue is the Embellished Ornaments Framelits Dies. I absolutely love the detailed dies, they add such nice sophistication to your holiday projects. I opted for mostly gold and silver - with some white and lost lagoon papers added into the mix as well.

I punched and die cut numerous stars with a piece of Gold Glimmer paper to make a stencil-like layering piece, which I adhered onto some Whisper White card stock. I added a strip of Silver Glimmer paper and a panel of gold and white striped designer series paper from the Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper.

These papers are seriously stunning! I love metallic with black and white. It's so hard to choose a favourite design since they are all fabulous. The scripted die cut Peace is also new from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies, which includes 3 scripted sentiments - Peace, Merry and Jolly. Such a beautiful font to add a nice touch to your holiday projects!

As a final touch, I tied a piece of 1/8" silver ribbon around the top of the ornament. The ornament is the focal point and shines all on its own even if it's not all glittery and golden! I hope you like my card, enjoy your day :)

Thanks for stopping by, happy stamping!

  1. How long does it take you to make 1 card? Such a work of art.

  3. Thanks Colleen, it depends on the card. Some can take 5 minutes to an hour. It depends if I have an idea in my head already, or if I am just playing around. It's fun though, and an hour flies by when you're having fun! :)
