Flurry of Wishes for Christmas in July

Hello there! I have been seeing Christmas cards and projects all over the place this month. I did make a holiday themed card last month and haven't shown it yet, so why not now?!

I used the {Flurry of Wishes} stamp set from the Annual Stampin' Up! catalogue, it was carried over from last fall/winter holiday catalogue. It was one of my favourites so I was super happy it stuck around. It seems weird to share something with "flurry" on it, since we are in a heat wave and drought. I don't think I'd mind a change in the weather a bit, as I dislike sweating. Those snowflakes wouldn't last too long with this heat!!! Anyhoo... I used several blue tones to create my card base. I used Dapper Denim, Pacific Point and Night of Navy. You can't go wrong with blue tones for snowflakes. I decided to do an emboss resist technique for my card. I started by stamping with versamark and white stampin' emboss powder - heat set it and then started adding my colours with an aquapainter.

I stamped my sentiment with Dapper Denim Classic ink and added some clear embossing powder and heat set. Did you know you could emboss with Classic ink pads? They are juicy enough that the powder will stick and you can have a rainbow of colours to emboss!! I added some {Night of Navy Solid Baker's Twine} to finish my card off. I took some photos during the "creation" process, you will find them below. I hope you like it, and have a super day!!

It's really fun and no two cards will be exactly alike!

Thanks for stopping by, happy stamping!
