Boho Chic Cupcakes

Man, am I tired. I just spent the last 6 hours in my garden! Now, I've got to got to work......... ugh! Oh well, I'll motor through it. I have another Sprinkles of Life share since my new stuff doesn't come in until next week. I think it is such an awesome stamp set. Plus, it's even better since a portion of the sales from each stamp set sold goes directly to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The set makes it super easy to make fun cards quickly since you can buy the coordinating punch.

The background is embossed with the new Boho Chic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on Cucumber Crush - such a lovely bright green colour. I made my cupcakes with Strawberry, Mint and Vanilla icing using Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron and Very Vanilla cardstock with some Chocolate Chip coloured sprinkles. The cupcake liners are in Tip Top Taupe.

Not only are the cupcakes uber cute, but the sentiment is even cuter. "Money can't buy happiness.. but it can buy cupcakes. And that's kind of the same thing." This was one of the cards at my "Hello & Goodbye" party - this being one of the "Hello" cards. Below is a bookmark I made for everyone to go with their new catalogues.

Using the cupcakes as ice cream - and another fun sentiment. The ice cream cone has each of the 5 new in-colours and makes a great page marker! I hope you like my shares, have an awesome day :)

Sassy Bohemian Chic & My Top Annual Catalogue Picks!

I can't seem to get enough of the Bohemian Borders stamp set. This time I used the diamond images. I stamped with several different colours, Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macaron, Cucumber Crush and Sahara Sand. I decided to soften it a bit by layering a piece of Vellum Cardstock underneath a piece I had left after cutting out the medium butterfly from the Butterfly Thinlits Dies.

I added a layer of Cucumber Crush to tie in the ink colour and added some Boho Chic embossed panels on Mint Macaron card stock. The sentiment is from Sassy Salutations in the Annual Catalogue.

As a final touch I added some strips of Gold Glimmer paper. I love the the Butterfly thinlits can work in two different ways a die cut and stencil/outline. I hope you like it, have a super day!

Bohemian Butterflies Swap

Today I am sharing the cards that I made for a "Shoe box Swap" that I participated in this past weekend. A shoe box swap is when you design a card and prepare all the time consuming bits like die cutting, embossing, etc. in advance and bring all the pieces and the other swappers re-create your card. I originally went with the Delightful Dijon card, since I love yellows, but in the past I heard razzing about my love for Summer Starfruit (still love you guys, but I love that colour).

Anyhoo... I went with the Tip Top Taupe card instead so everyone is happy, besides it's a lovely new neutral so you can't go wrong. I must say it was the popular colour, as almost all swaps used Tip Top Taupe. When I got home from the swap I still had some "bits" left over, so I wanted to try it out with the other In-Colours that I didn't use yet.

My first card is the one I used for my swap card. I used the Bohemian Borders stamp set, stamped in Tip Top Taupe Classic Ink, the Boho Chic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and Bohemian Designer Series Paper. I used the Butterfly Thinlits Dies, Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly Punches. The sentiment is from the Perfect Pennants stamp set that was a carryover from last years Annual Catalogue.

The next one is Mint Macaron, ink and card base with an accent colour of Island Indigo.

The third one is using Cucumber Crush ink, and Rich Razzleberry card base.

The next one was my original design, using Delightful Dijon and Bermuda Bay.

The last one is Watermelon Wonder ink and an Island Indigo card base.

I like all 5... it was fun to play with each of the new In-colours. Which one is your favourite?

Last Chance: Project Life Happiness is & A Happy Hooray

Well, today we had a triple whammy kind of a day! We had 3 different catalogue's all available on the same day. I can't remember that happening, well ever. But it was a great opportunity to get any retiring items from the Stampin' Up! 2014-2015 Annual Catalogue, the 2015 Occasions Catalogue and the new 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue! I'm excited that the new catalogue is finally available for everyone - it sure it chocked full of some ultra-fabulous new products! Now I just have to wait for my UPS guy to deliver my new toys. I have some projects made with some of my favourite "retiring" items. First some Project Life...

Happiness is...

I decided to make my own layout, using 12" X 12" card stock and the Happiness is card collection. I love the fun, bold and bright colours and funky patterns. I still have to put my photos in it, but you can see how easy it is to make a fun layout. I LOVE the cork letters from the accessory pack - so fun!

The cards included have some fun sayings - this one was my favourite "things that make me smile". I chose my favourite patterns - it was difficult, but these ones just spoke to me!

The new Project Life card collections and accessory packs are super awesome just like the ones retiring. The work great for the traditional scrapbooker, the ease of the quick scrapbooker with the Project Life cards and accessories or make cards. Keep scrolling down, I've got a couple fun cards using the A Happy Hooray stamp set.

Hi there! A Happy Hooray & Thanks
My favourite stamp set is leaving on only a few more hours... sniff, sniff. I'm a sucker for stamp sets with feathers and it has a hexagon so it was a no-brainer for me with this one! Check them out...

I decided to play with my #1 stamp set and that super fun feather image. I used the In-Colours that are retiring - Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush, Baked Brown Sugar and Pistachio Pudding. Love all of these colours, don't you?!

I stamped the entire background with the feather in all 5 of the In-colours (2013-2015). I love the look of the overlapping stamping. I added a strip of Basic Black, stamped the "hi there" three times and punched them out with Mr. Hexagon punch, added some Thick Baker's Twine in Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe. The next card, I stamped the feather in a slightly different pattern - but with the same concept. This time I made a "thanks" card, also from the same stamp set.

Here's a close up of the overlapped stamping - cool eh?!

Here's a view of both of them side by side. Similar idea, but a different look!

The NEW Catalogue is here... Love the title "Share the Fun"!

Indescribable Gift Love you so

It's true... I do, I really do!!! Love this stamp set.......

It's almost time! Tomorrow is the BIG day ... the launch of the NEW 2015-2016 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue.... eeeeekkkkk!!!!! So exciting. With that being said, it is also the very last day to order any of the "Retiring" products from the 2014-2015 Annual Catalogue, as well as the Occasions Catalogue. But, it's nice that you can order from all three catalogues for one day. Today, I have a card using my favourite stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue - Indescribable Gift. I also used the Geometrical stamp set from the Annual Catalogue for my sentiment. My favourite from each of the two catalogues ending. So sad to see them go...

This is a card we made from my "Hello & Goodbye" stamping get together. Everything on this card is retiring, from both the stamp sets Geometrical and Indescribable Gift, the 1" Cotton Ribbon, Strawberry Slush Stampin' Write Marker and card stock, and the Angled Tag Topper Punch.

It's a simple card to make, the colouring takes a while but it does look nice with just an outline too. Simply cut your 2" strip and punch one end - I used a 2" X 4-1/2" piece. Stamp the background Very Vanilla layer with the entire stamp set - I used Strawberry Slush. Stamp your tag and colour it in (if you like), line it up with the same parts of the stamped image in the background and pop up on dimensionals. Add your ribbon with a simple knot. Simple, and very pretty. It would be easy to make a bunch of these in no time! I hope you like it :)

Project Life+ Age of Awareness = A Fun Birthday Card

Last week it was my sister's birthday - today's share is the card that I created for you. I wanted to make a bright, colourful card - I think I achieved that! It was really simple to do too. I started with  one of the cards from the Project Life Everyday Adventure cards. I chose the one with the BIG happy since it had a bunch of bright colours to work with. I went from there, using coordinating colours to match the "Happy".

I went with a card base of Rich Razzleberry, layers of Basic Black and this fun polka dotted Project Life card - I love the graduated yellow colour. My sister loves yellow, so I had to use this card. The sentiment is from Age Awareness, I decided it needed a bit more - so I added some balloons to match the "Happy". I used Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Tempting Turquoise and fussy cut them out and popped them up with a dimensional. It still needed a tiny bit more, so I added some Brights Candy Dots to resemble confetti. It's bright, colourful and was perfect for Aimee! I hope you like it :)
