Star ornament

Hello... sorry for not posting for a few days - my internet wasn't cooperating with me. For today I made an ornament using the Stars Framelits Dies. Stars seem to be very popular right now... from stamps to embossing folders to framelits... lots of fun stuff!  This was my first attempt at making a star box/ornament - there is a fun kit with pre-cut pieces in the Holiday Supplement. I managed to make one on my own - not too bad for my first try. Check it out below...

I love the Blackberry Bliss with the ultra-sparkly Gold Glimmer Paper!!

This was my first attempt at making an ornament - and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be... so you'll probably see some more in the future.

First I cut the second largest star from the framelits dies. I diecut a window with the third largest. I cut another with the Gold Glimmer paper and cut one more but with Blackberry Bliss again to add in behind. I just kept using the next smallest die. I measured around the sides of the star that I wanted for my ornament base - then scored where each point was. I scored lengthwise at 3/8" on each side of my 1" strip for my tabs to adhere together. If that makes sense? The sentiment is from the Bright and Beautiful set - stamped onto Whisper White, layered onto Blackberry Bliss, Gold Glimmer Paper and Whisper White again. I added a piece of 1/8" Gold Ribbon attached with Glue Dots to the top point. I hope you like my share and have a wonderful day!
