Box Card By the Tide...

Hello... sorry I haven't posted in a few days, I was working all weekend... and with Mother's Day too... I just didn't have the chance until now. Well, I'm on my regular mid-week days off, and I get to go stamping tonight so it's going to be a good day! We had a lot of loud rain through out the night, but it's dry now, maybe I'll poke around outside for a bit..? I have a fun share for you today featuring the 'By the Tide' stamp set! I just love this set - it's great for making masculine type cards!

I made my basic box card (I have a tutorial with measurements in an earlier post). I made my box with Island Indigo cardstock to get the colour of the sea! I then stamped panels of Island Indigo with the coral image in Whisper White & Tangerine Tango embossing powder.

I stamped a bunch of fishes, seahorses, lobsters and coral images and coloured or sponged them in. I added some googly eyes to the fishies... because the card already moves... so why not add a bit more, just for fun! I was asked to create a card for a co-workers relative, for her sister to give to her husband for his birthday. I hope he likes it!!

I added the greeting as though it was coming from one of the fishies mouth... the fishes, seahorse and greeting are all attached using window sheets to appear as though they are floating!

Look at all the pretty fishes swimming to the party!!
To make it even more fun, I decided to decorate the entire box! I added some Crumb Cake cardstock to make the sand. I cut another lobster out and some seashells. For even more fun, I decorated the underside of the box flaps with a sponged sky, with a sun and clouds!

Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:
By the Tide [wood: 131910 - $33.95; clear: 129120 - $25.94]

I hope you like my share, and have a super day... happy stamping :)
