Getting Artsy with 'Work of Art'!

Hello stampers!!

Last night I was lucky enough to attend the premiere of Stampin' Up's newest catalogue, which will be released to the public in June. I went to Square One in Mississauga, ON for the show along with a bunch of other demonstrators in the same group as me! I must say that the new catalogue is super fabulous, my wish list is really, really long!! I'm pretty sure I need almost every new item, no definitely sure :) I was able to pre-order some items today, but only certain items are available in the pre-order... so when my goodies arrive I can share some projects created with them, with you!

Today's share is featuring a new stamp set, Work of Art, which I received at the premiere as a gift for going to the event - how awesome is that!! I just started making fun backgrounds with the stamps until I had a pattern I liked, then went to my handy-dandy hexagon punch and gave it a workout! You all know I think the 'Hexagon punch' is a work of art too, right?! This set is great for creating fun and interesting backgrounds for your cards or other projects. It is also great for single layered cards that can be whipped up in a snap!

I inked my stamp with Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay to get my background pattern, then punched my hexagons out and layered them onto a piece of Pumpkin Pie - I love this colour combo! I then added the 'Thank You' grettings twice and stamped a few of the hearts in Pumpkin Pie, just cause' I liked the look - and orange is never a bad thing!!  Check it out...

I hope you like my share, and have fun creating your works of art, happy stamping :)
