Best Thoughts in Vellum

Hello! It's Monday... and it's beautiful outside. I must squeeze in some gardening before I head off to work... and of course, I have to share a stamping project with you.

Today, I'm sharing one of my favourite cards that I designed lately... I used my favourite Host/hostess stamp set called Best Thoughts. It's always fun when you get new stuff to play with, you can experiment with the ideas in your head! I really wanted to use vellum - I LOVE VELLUM! This stunning flower, which I'm not even sure what flower it is? Whatever it is it's stunning and I want some in my garden.

I wanted to create a shadow effect with this gorgeous stamp by layering vellum. I coloured the back of my vellum with Stampin' Write Markers and also a Blender Pen with ink refills in various shades. This is definitely one card, I'll keep for me to look at for years to come.

A card from me to me... Do you ever design a card and keep it for yourself? Am I the only one? Well, I guess that's not entirely true... since I'm sharing it here on my blog! I used the lovely new Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to dress up the background, some Rhinestones and some pretty organza ribbon! I hope you like it, enjoy the sunshine!
