Winter Frosted Mirror

Tis' the season to create some fun gifts... well, for me it is!! I made this once plain white mirror into this stunning art piece. I used the gorgeous 'Winter Frost' designer series paper from Stampin' Up! to create my mirror. This paper is oh-so-lovely, but this pattern in particular caught my eye. I used the 3/4" circle punch to punch my DSP. I used Tombo Liquid glue to adhere each circle to the mirror base. This particular sized circle fit perfectly onto this sized mirror, which I got from Ikea for only $1.99! It fit 13 circles in a row nicely, then I just kept adding each row until the entire mirror base was covered in circles. When I took my mirror outside to photograph, my dog, Tucker was playing in the yard. I was angling my camera so I wasn't in the shot or any sort of glare, I noticed Tucker appeared in the mirror... I called his name and he turned to look at me so I snapped the photo! I love it, he always loves posing for photos. Now he's a mirror model.. hehe!

This is the plain version, I jazzed it up with some Silver Foil Butterflies and some Rhinestone Basic Jewels... the butterflies look like metal cutouts!

The great thing about this mirror is there is not one way you could display it...
it looks great from all angles, the butterflies look good fluttering in all directions!

Below is some close up views of the butterflies - it's hard to believe that they are made of paper!! The Gold and Silver foil sheets really do look like a thin sheet of metal, amazing!

I like both, but I think I like the jazzed up one a bit more... those butterflies are so pretty!!

I hope you like my share, happy stamping :)
