Hello... my share for today is a scrapbook page that I will put into a frame. When the 'Holiday Happiness' catalogue came out in August, the first thing I knew I had to have was the 'Halloween Happiness Stamp'. Not only is that jack-o-lantern just so stinkin' cute - I love the sentiment below... Halloween Happiness.
This sentiment is very fitting for me as I got married on Halloween and just had my 4th Wedding Anniversary a couple of weeks ago. We've been together for 11 years and I must say that I have a wonderful husband, he's the person I enjoy spending my time with the most... he is my best friend! I love him to pieces and hope that we'll always be happy together :)
There is a great photo from our Fall~Halloween inspired wedding with his parents, his grandparents, my parents and both of us. I never thought I'd see the day where both my parents would be in the same place together, let alone be in a photo and look happy - I love this photo and I love everyone in it!
First I started by cutting piece of the 'Sweater Weather' designer series papers, I absolutely love this paper, all the beautiful fall colours (it's my favourite season, wonder why?!) Once I had my Sweater Weather papers adhered to a base piece of cardstock I then stamped a bunch of the pumpkin images by colouring the pumpkin portion of the stamp with a Pumpkin Pie and the stem with an Always Artichoke Stampin' Write markers. I then cut out the pumpkins..... which took a long time, but in my head this is how I envisioned this page would look so I kept on cutting!
I still wanted the Halloween Happiness sentiment to appear on my page so I coloured the greeting portion of the stamp with an Early Espresso Stampin' Write marker and stamped and using the 'Chalk Talk' framelits cut it out. It still needed something so I punched a 1" Circle of Early Espresso and attached a 'Very Vintage' button to the punched circle with Whisper White Baker's Twine.
This page really shows off these beatifully stunning fall papers and this adorable stamp - which means more for me since I really did find my Halloween Happiness.
For my leaves - I used the 'Magnificent Maple' single stamp. To get the multi-coloured look I used Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie inks and a sponge daubers. I inked up my daubers and added each ink colour starting with the lightest, Crushed Curry until the entire stamp was covered with ink, then I gave a good huff and stamped onto Whisper White. I then cut out the leaves and attached to the lower right corner of my page. I added some small strips of Always Artichoke which I curled with my scissors for a bit more interest to the page.
Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:
Magnificient Maple [wood: 131868 - $11.95]
Halloween Happiness [wood: 131859 - $11.95]
Sweater Weather DSP [132184 - $13.50]
Happy stamping, happy fall!
