Moon Lake: Fit to be Tiled!

Hello... I had a fun night with my club ladies! I think my fingers will be stained with Blackberry Bliss ink for days. Today's card is not one of the cards we made, but I'm pleased with how it turned out. I love the new Moon Lake stamp set. It is perfect for thinking of you cards like this one. This would work for a masculine birthday card also... just a different sentiment.

I don't know why it's difficult to make masculine cards... I always seem to gravitate towards florals, butterflies and other more feminine images and embellishments. This seems to be a common problem, I have made several more-masculine type cards lately... but I should make it a goal to try to make more. Any whooooo... for my card I started by stamping onto Whisper White, then punched out a 1" square using Stampin' Up!s punch. I kept punching until I had enough to make a good layer for my card base. I just eyeballed the placement, leaving about a 1/8" gap between. I wasn't planning on colouring the images in, but then I coloured one... and kept on going. I does look nice in just the black and white stamped images, but the colours are nice too.

I used Blendabilities Markers in a variety of assortments to colour my inch sized tiles in. I decided to mat my tiled piece, which was assembled onto Basic Black onto another layer of Old Olive for some tone-on-tone. The top layer was popped up on dimensionals for a bit of depth. I hope you like my card, have a wonderful day :)
