You Plus Me: FUR EVER friends Framed Art

Hello and Happy Monday! I have a fun photo frame that I made several weeks ago, but haven't got around to posting it until now. Anyone who knows me, knows I have a soft spot for animals... especially cats. Almost 3 years ago I came across a stray cat, I followed her to behind our large shed at my work to find she had 3 little kittens (4 weeks or so?). Momma was so thin, I immediately went to get them some food. When I came back - I saw more kittens - 5 in total. Momma cat was very friendly, the kittens were so cute and tiny - but timid and ran away when I approached them. I gained Momma's trust and was able (over the course of a week), catch all 5 kittens and Momma too. I'm happy to report all 5 found homes and Momma (Alexis) too [my Mom has her - so I can still visit her]. For my share today, I used a picture of the 2 little furballs that I kept ... the first two caught coincidentally. These two are like peas in a pod and are always getting into mischief! They might not be as tiny as they once were, but they still find trouble every now and again.

I used one of my favourite Textured Impressions Embossing Folders - Tiny Triangles for the background, embossing a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe. I layered onto Basic Black for a nice contrast.

This sentiment Friends become our chosen family, from the Painted Petals stamp set is very appropriate. I added the 'FUR EVER' made with the Little Letters Thinlits - I believe that applies to pets, as they are members of our family just as much as people are. I used the You Plus Me stamp set for the You're sweet sentiment - pointing right at their cute faces. I used the On Film framelits to cut the Polaroid to "frame" my photo. I just had to add some twine, since they are always playing with strings and toys. Silly kids!

They were around 5 months (give or take), since they were strays there is no way to know for sure when this photo was taken. They sure were cute, and still are, my Tabitha is what they call a Polydactyl. "A polydactyl cat is a cat with a congenital physical anomaly called polydactyly, that causes the cat to be born with more than the usual number of toes on one or more of its paws", according to Wikipedia.  Both her paws have 2 extra toes (claw too). I think it is super cute, she has mitten hands - it's strange that all (including Momma - she has one extra on one paw) to have this abnormality, except Jeffrey. I think it just makes her [them] more unique.

I can't imagine my life without these kitties, they came into my life when I was having a rough time and they made me feel better and happier. Here are some pictures of the first baby kitty that I caught, and the first kitten that I've ever had - my Jeffrey. He's definitely not tiny anymore, but he's still my baby.

Having a catnap... love him so much - look at that adorable face :)

There's my boy with one of my older boys, Oscar (20 years old) - still looks like a young cat.

I made the frame below last year (posted on February 28, 2014) of my Tabitha...
so sweet [The photo on the bottom right is my favourite].

I hope you like my share and have a cuddle with your furry friends!
