Sheltering Tree for All Seasons

Another stamp set that was at the top of my list for MUST HAVES is the Sheltering Tree set. It's no surprise, as Lovely as a Tree is one of my all-time favourite sets. I decided to make a panorama card with all of the seasons represented on one card. For this of course, I needed a larger card base - so I used a 8X8" piece and score in half at 4". I began by stamping the very bottom of my Whisper White layer with the grass stamp and old olive ink. Then made my layering pieces and began to stamp my tree bases. Then the fun part bringing them to life!

I used softer colours for the spring tree, with some blossoms. For summer it was all lush and various shades of green, then my favourite season - fall. I used oranges, reds and yellows with hints of green still peeking thorough. Lastly, winter - the one we're in right now. I thought, instead of just a plain tree with no leaves, I'd add a few brown and orange leaves still hanging on from the fall. This stamp set makes it easy to make stunning works of art perfect for a variety of occasions. I hope you like it, have a great day!
