Starburst Ray of Sunshine

Hello, finally a day off! I have so much stuff I want to get done today. Tidy my yard, weed my garden, finish my edging, paint, clean my cats room, and well of course craft! I'm going outside to get some Vitamin D first.

Speaking of Vitamin D, I have a card made with rays of sunshine. I used the brand new set called 'Ray of Sunshine'. I love this set - not only for the sun stamp, but the sentiments are lovely. I designed this card for a stamping friend of mine, who has been having a rough time health-wise. I hope it cheers her up! Every time I use yellows or oranges always cheers me up!! Check out my card below and I'll tell you how I made it...
So I started by making my sun with the help of my handy dandy Stamp-a-ma-jig (don't know what I'd do without this great tool!). I stamped the circle first, then added the sunbeams. I re-stamped my circle to darken it a bit, then added the face with Hello Honey - I cut the sun out. I cut 1-1/4" strips of the new designer series paper stacks, 'All Abloom' and 'Moonlight'. Moonlight has the new Hello Honey colour and the 'All Abloom' has Daffodil Delight. I cut a strip of Hello Honey and embossed with the new 'Tiny Triangles' folder. I stamped my sentiment onto the starburst panel. Then I added the starburst pattern to the top of the card, over the embossed panel. I wrapped some Baker's Twine - Crushed Curry colour, around the adjoining pieces 3 times. I then added my sun, raised on dimensionals.
