SALE-A-BRATION - You Brighten my Day!!

Well, I'm excited for THREE things today. FIRST, I finally have a day off, after working for weeks straight without a break - I plan on crafting in my pajamas for a good portion of the day since I still have some of my new toys still in the plastic, and that's just wrong! SECOND, it's the start of a brand NEW Occasions Catalogue, and THIRD, it's the start of Sale-a-bration!!! Eeeeekkkkkk!! I bet you're more excited about the last two!? I already placed my order today.. and can't wait to get my Happy New Year to me toys :-)

I don't know about you, but I look forward to Sale-a-bration each year, what a better way to start the new year than a sale... or better yet FREE stuff?!! This year it starts the same day as the new Occasions Catalogue, not 3 weeks later like the last year... that's exciting too!

 

Onto my share for today... featuring some Sale-a-bration goodies!!!

  

 

I decided to make this card pretty simple - but it is definitely bright and sparkly. I coloured the light bulb with Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate Blendabilities markers and fussy cut it out. I matted it to a 2" square of Whisper White, popped up on a dimensional and the sentiment you light up my life above it.

 

 

I layered it onto a Basic Black square 1/8" larger, then cut a larger 4" square of Gold Glimmer paper, matted onto Basic Black, the White and Black once more. The black contrast really makes the layers pop, especially with the added sparkle from the Gold Glimmer paper. I thought it still needed a little something so I added some stamped stars to the top and bottom of the card. Ta-da... a fun, sparkly card and it only took a few minutes to create.
