Pleasant Poppies + Blendabilities Update

I have been dreading this news... I have a sad announcement, Stampin' Up! just notified all their demonstrators that the have decided to discontinue the Blendabilities product line due to a manufacture issue. I cannot tell you how sad I am to hear this news, I use them all the time as do many others. They colour beautifully, with rich, saturated colour - no lines! I will miss them dearly.... sigh!

I have a card I made a while ago using some of my NEW colours... sniff..sniff... Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi Blendabilities. I used the same technique that I called "Hexagon Puzzle Piecing" to create my card - something that just came to me in a dream... I get some of my best ideas when I'm unconscious! I opted for the Pleasant Poppies large background stamp since it would fill most of the front layer.

I did the same as I did before, after I stamped - I ran the layer through the Big Shot with the Hexagon Hive thinlits die. I love this die, can you guess why?! Of course I love hexagons so it's a no brainer for me!

I decided to only colour the pieces that were in the hexagon raised portion and left the remainder black and white. It does look nice in just black and white also!

Below is a close up of the poppies colour with Blendabilities - you might be able to see hints of sparkle, as I added some Dazzling Details Glitter - well because life's just better with a little sparkle!

I hope you like my share, and I've very sorry to report that Blendabilities have been discontinued... hopefully they will come up with another alcohol based marker in the future?! I've used Copics before, but Blendabilities took the guess work out of finding the right colours to blend seemlessly together. That's what I liked the most.  So sad, farewell... blendabilities, farewell!
